(New York, NY - February 15, 2013) - Multi-Platinum Contemporary and Classical musician David Phelps is ready to make 2013 just as great as 2012. Last year, Phelps released a solo album entitled Classics. The album hit the Billboard "Classical Crossover Albums" chart at number seven in late November. Peaking at the number five spot, Classics stayed within the top 15 spots on the chart throughout December. Phelps was also honored to be nominated as the number 5 best album of the year according to The J.M. Blaine 2012 Soul of Music Awards. With the number five seeming to be Phelps' lucky number last year, he is hoping to make 2013 his number one year.
Known best as a member of the Gaither Vocal Band, Phelps debuted his solo act on CBS's morning show, The Couch. He wowed the studio and audiences with his incredible renditions of "Joy to the World" and "O Holy Night" right before the holiday season. David Phelps is truly blessed with a vocal instrument unlike any other. The multi-Platinum artist started off in the Gaither Vocal Band where he had the chance to perform at Carnegie Hall, the White House, and many other halls and churches around the world. Phelps has won two Grammy awards and four Dove awards.
